Today’s organizations face a complexity crisis. Leaders are seeing an explosion of different types of work and workers, a mismatch between available skills and evolving roles, and growing regulatory complexity. But the goal isn’t just to keep up with these new challenges – it’s to outpace them. By offering true simplicity at scale, our latest product release drives new levels of efficiency and helps customers refocus their efforts on doing the work they’re meant to do.
Let’s look at what this means for your team.
Putting customers first with AI and people intelligence
Organizations are at a crossroads with AI. While many are unsure of how they’ll use it, without it the complexity crisis will become unmanageable. This issue is so important that Gartner identified it as a top-five 2025 priority for HR leaders. Gartner also found that, while 76% of HR leaders believe failing to adopt generative AI within two years could hinder organizational success, only nine percent have an articulated AI vision at their company. HR departments are waiting for pacesetters to show the way forward with AI, but these teams will have a tough time catching competitors who are first to unlock the technology’s full value.
The Dayforce platform’s single database and data model reduces the fragmentation found in many competing solutions. This approach helps reduce errors, streamline processes, offer greater scalability, enhance compliance, and allow reporting and analytics features to draw insights from across the entire HCM ecosystem. But maybe the most important benefit comes when AI helps our customers unlock a new level of value from this unified environment.
Here are a few ways our latest release is doing just that.
Stop hunting. Ask Dayforce Co-Pilot
Last year we introduced Dayforce Co-Pilot, an AI assistant that can help surface answers to common (or even uncommon) employee questions, instead of forcing your workers to pore over FAQ pages or to request help from colleagues. With our latest release, we’re pleased to announce that Dayforce Co-Pilot is now available to all Dayforce customers. Our customers use Dayforce Co-Pilot because it’s easy and quick to deploy, able to ingest company content quickly, private to the company using it, and walled off from your sensitive customer data.
Take your next step with Dayforce AI Agents
We’re also introducing a new generation of AI into the Dayforce platform – Dayforce AI Agents. While AI assistants like Dayforce Co-Pilot can respond to user prompts and directions, Dayforce AI Agents can independently assess how to best achieve the user’s goals, all while keeping the human in the decision-making loop. This approach allows users to accelerate workflows and decision-making by automating repetitive tasks to drive efficiency. Our first Dayforce AI Agent allows employees to request time away from work through a natural language interaction with the Dayforce Co-Pilot.
Raise the bar with internal benchmarking
In our previous release, we introduced the world to Dayforce Measures, a tool that includes a set of pre-built KPIs to help you set thresholds on your most important metrics and get intelligent nudges when your performance exceeds them. You can also enjoy AI-enhanced predictions that alert you to potential problems before they become issues.
With our latest release, we've taken another major step forward with internal benchmarking. These capabilities show you how each department’s key metrics, such as absenteeism, turnover, or overtime stack up against other departments, historical trends, and your company standards.
Internal benchmarking empowers you to:
- Set realistic goals
- Assess a team's HR metrics against company standards
- Identify improvement areas by highlighting gaps in current practices
Benchmarking is critical for understanding when and where to take action to meet targeted KPIs, especially at the level of different units.
Simplicity at scale in workforce management and compliance
The world’s getting more complex, and companies looking to operate in multiple regions are facing ever-changing compliance requirements. As an example, fair workweek laws are becoming increasingly more important and varied by state and country. Your team can’t keep up with these changes on their own, not in a world where compliance violations carry massive legal and reputational risks.
Dayforce not only helps companies defend against these growing threats – it also puts them on offense. From managing frontline workers to boosting managers’ operational efficiency, our new compliance capabilities help you support the entire employee experience and help organizations operate with confidence.
Transform your demand forecasting with machine learning
Whether it’s company profits and worker engagement lost to overstaffing, or turnover and customer frustration sparked by understaffing, every second your company is incorrectly staffed has a cost. Organizations need staffing agility to ensure the right number of people are staffed at the right time, all the time.
Traditional demand forecasting methods often fail to account for the complexity and irregularity of consumer behavior, leading to inaccurate predictions. But our new ML Demand Forecasting learns over time to better predict demand and labor needs. It can pull in external data (even weather patterns) to make better predictions and help you plan more effectively.
Through more precise demand forecasting, you can:
- Empower managers to plan schedules that better align staffing with demand
- Drive sales with the right staffing levels to best serve and delight customers
- Decrease manual forecast adjustments
Focus on what matters on our new Workforce Insights Dashboard
We're taking a major leap in improving managers’ operational efficiency with our new Workforce Insights Dashboard. Workforce Insights will be a one-stop shop where people leaders begin each of their days. Leaders will be able to quickly view and understand things like who's working, who’s off, and who’s late. Plus, they’ll be able to see actionable insights that require their attention, such as missing time or missing meals. This will save time so they can spend it where it really matters – directly with their team or customers.
Empower workers to eliminate your staffing gaps with Shift Marketplace
Our latest release supercharges staffing mobility through Shift Marketplace. With this new functionality, workers can search for, select, and fill open shifts at any location where they’re qualified to work, right from their mobile device. Shift Marketplace will also provide workers with the up-front information they need to understand the role, work, and compensation they’re planning to take on. With this new tool, workers will feel more empowered and managers will enjoy more agile, reliable staffing with confidence that our system will help them stay compliant.
Trust and convenience – together at last with our reimagined time experience
Every day, frontline employees around the world face uncertainty because they’re not sure if their clock-in or out was accepted by their timekeeping system. We’re working to close that trust gap by creating a more intelligent and personalized time experience
Dayforce customers will still be able to authenticate and identify their users in whatever manner they use today – like badges, biometrics, or facial recognition. But now the clock will draw on historical data from the Dayforce database to better anticipate a user’s next move and present them with curated options, leading to a more streamlined experience and fewer errors. Workers will gain visibility into information such as their pay summary and confirmed clock-ins at any point in the cycle, providing more visibility and trust in their transactions.
The new time experience will offer a user:
- Details on upcoming shifts or pay
- A modern, pleasing UI
- A more intelligent experience by predicting their next action
Overall, our new time experience will help companies achieve a smoother user experience, fewer errors, and greater efficiency.
Compliance updates
At Dayforce, we help organizations unravel the complexity of the compliance knot. We’re unique in our ability to stay ahead of the shifting compliance landscape, being named #1 in North American Compliance Suite (1,000-2,500 Employees) Use Case and #1 in North American Compliance Suite (2,500+ Employees) Use Case in the 2024 Gartner Critical Capabilities Report.
So far in 2024, Dayforce has added 800+ global compliance updates to account for taxes, workers’ compensation, garnishments, dependent care, and multiple state and city rate changes. That’s 800+ areas where the Dayforce platform will help customers avoid critical mistakes.
An enhanced experience for acquiring talent
Over the past year, we’ve made significant enhancements in the candidate experience and in sourcing talent with the skills and experience needed for key roles. With this release, we’re elevating the experience for talent acquisition professionals by helping them:
- Hire at scale: See what job requisitions need attention and action with the new recruiting insights page.
- Reduce complexity in recruitment: Get better search and filtering capabilities to help you manage your open requisitions with an improved job requisition and candidate grid.
- Swiftly get to know candidates: View more qualified candidates with resumes that load within seconds, due to improvements in performance times within the candidate profile.
Moving forward
With these game-changing capabilities, the Dayforce platform will help remove friction from the user experience and allow organizations to scale in new ways. The consistent and intentional use of intelligent, agile technologies like AI and machine learning will provide users the flexibility they need, combined with the confidence of having an HCM solution that acts more like a knowledgeable colleague than a tool. In the end, these enhancements are further separating Dayforce – and its customers – from their competitors and making work life better around the globe.
