Ceridian is One of Canada's Top 100 Employers for the 15th Consecutive Year
Ceridian, a global human capital management technology company, today announced it has been honoured as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2018. Canada’s Top 100 Employers are chosen annually by Mediacorp Canada Inc. in a national competition. As determined by Mediacorp, Ceridian is among a select few remarkable employers using “thoughtful innovation” to drive business forward and lead the industry in offering exceptional workplaces for employees.
This year, Ceridian was honoured for its employee recognition program, corporate social responsibility, and employee benefits offerings among other initiatives.
“At Ceridian, we put a lot of emphasis on empowering our people,” said Lisa Sterling, Chief People and Culture Officer, Ceridian. “With leadership training, continuous learning resources and support, and programs that make work-life blending easier we’re able to encourage independent and innovative thinking and cultivate an authentic culture.”
“We are witnessing a remarkable transformation in the nature of work,” said Kristina Leung, Senior Editor at Mediacorp. “Organizations must be open to change so they are able to adapt and make innovation a priority, whether it’s using new HR technology or stimulating employee creativity to find new and better ways of doing things.”
This year’s competition saw a record number of employers take part in the selection process, with an increased number of applicants from all regions of the country. To develop this year’s top 100 list, Mediacorp editors examined the recruitment histories of over 90,000 employers across Canada and invited approximately 7,500 employers to submit applications, including a comprehensive review of their operations and HR practices that compared them to others in their industry and region. Editors at Mediacorp grade employers on eight criteria, including: the Physical Workplace, Work Atmosphere and Social, Health, Financial and Family Benefits, Vacation and Time Off, Employee Communications, Performance Management, Training and Skills Development, and Community Involvement.
Winners were announced in a national magazine published in the Globe and Mail and Ceridian was honoured as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers during the Top Employer Gala on November 7, in Toronto.
