Today’s workforce looks nothing like the past. Organizations are grappling with significant complexity stemming from skills recalibration, AI automation, increased risk, and employee demand for a new social contract at work.
At Ceridian, we’ve built our roadmap to align with the most urgent priorities organizations face in this new world of work. For one, we’re committed to designing for a skills-based future, where employers will organize and optimize workers based on skills, rather than set roles. To this end we’ve prioritized developing robust talent management tools that smoothly align with this evolving work landscape.
As remote and hybrid work increases, we’re enhancing the employee experience and fueling collaboration by empowering teams with easy access to information. And we’re also encouraging our customers to focus on strategic work by delivering scalable automation that helps streamline certain administrative functions, allowing the workforce to build measurable value. Here is an overview of our new capabilities:
Designing for a skills-based future
The new world of work demands a shift away from rigidly defining – and confining – work by roles. Instead, the future of work lies in skills. According to the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2023, surveyed employers expect to see disruption in nearly half (44%) of workers’ skills over the next five years. Speed to market, productivity, and efficiency all depend on an organization's ability to identify, develop, mobilize, and source the right skills at the right time.
We built Dayforce Career Explorer with this goal in mind. Dayforce Career Explorer uses advanced machine learning algorithms to recommend open roles that align with employees' interests and abilities, while helping them build new, business-critical skills.
Organizations also have an opportunity to boost retention by increasing the level of internal talent mobility and helping ensure equitable access to opportunities. According to Ceridian’s 2023 Pulse of Talent research, 88% of global workers surveyed who are currently looking for new jobs would consider staying with their current employer if they were given internal career opportunities. This innovation also enables organizations to fill open roles and staff projects more easily, helping to reduce the time and resources spent on recruitment.
Empowering teams through access to information
The global workforce is increasingly boundless: borderless, fluid, and always-on. With geographically dispersed workforces and a rise in remote and hybrid work, it's more important than ever to get the right information in front of the right people at the right times.
In a leap toward redefining the employee experience and improving efficiency for today’s boundless workforce, we’re expanding our intelligent capabilities, helping your people easily find the HR information they need wherever they are, through natural language processing. With the help of this new Dayforce capability, organizations can increase the efficiency of their HR teams, allowing them to focus on higher-value work.
This landmark release ushers in an era of instant access to information for the workforce, helping erase geographical boundaries and democratize HR intelligence. We're continuing to build on this momentum with a strong roadmap that incorporates case management capabilities into our offering, including case creation, skill-based routing, service-level agreements (SLAs), and reporting, to create a world-class product for HR service delivery.
The standout capability of Dayforce HR Service Delivery is Intelligent Search, which provides a targeted and intuitive experience for employees, both on web and mobile. This capability scans the Dayforce knowledge database to provide users with quick answers and solutions based on their search terms. Empowering self-service helps replace tedious back-and-forth communications, saving time for workers and HR teams.
Automating tasks to focus on strategic work
Gartner’s 2023 CEO and Senior Business Executive Survey predicts productivity will be a top five strategic business priority by 2025. Organizations are increasingly seeking ways to boost efficiency and performance in an increasingly complex business environment.
In our pursuit to help organizations unleash their true potential, we are unveiling features that help automate work by liberating the workforce from significant administrative overhead and empowering them to focus on strategic, growth-oriented tasks.
To start, we’ve continued innovating to deliver value for our customers globally. The new Dayforce Global Payroll Interface provides a unified Dayforce user experience, the underlying payroll engine, for customers in 160 countries. This enables organizations to harness the true power of Dayforce with unparalleled ease.
We also recently launched a new tiered model for Dayforce Managed Payroll. This payroll administration solution allows Ceridian teams to help customers manage their day-to-day payroll activities and give HR and payroll professionals more time to focus on strategic work and growth opportunities.
We’ve also enhanced our Enterprise Time Management feature to automate workflow and enable mass actions that will help streamline operations and increase productivity, upleveling our offering toward our goal of hyperscale workforce management and payroll.
And lastly, we’ve launched Dayforce Integration Studio, which embraces the spirit of no-code/low-code integration management. We’ll help simplify the process of creating, managing, and deploying integrations for our customers and partners, empowering them to own how Dayforce integrates with their ecosystem.
